Contraction Stress Test
- Contraction Stress Test
This test is administered when there have been problems in the Non Stress Test with respect to the fetus' heart rate. The uterus is stimulated with the help of a synthetic form of oxytocin know as pitocin. Oxytocin is secreted during the prenancy. As the uterus is stimulated the contradictions affect the fetal heart rate and an analysis of the stability of the heart rate can be monitored.
