This disease is specifically associated with people belonging to the ethnic group of Northern European Caucasians.
This disease affect the breathing and digestion of the baby if contracted and thus many medical associations have made it mandatory to have a CF Test done before or during the prenancy. - Glucose Tolerance Test
- Doppler Non Stress Test
- Colour Doppler Test
- Thalassemia Trait Test
- Genetic Carrier Screening
- G6PD (Glucose 6 Phosphate Dehydrogenas)
Do remember to ask your doctor on all the tests and their results. One has the right to know the reasons for getting a test done, the procedure involved, the cost, the preparation needed and the importance of the results for a healthy pregnancy. Read about the tests in literature and also talk to it about people who have had deliveries or expecting mothers. Don’t just go for a test because the doctor does it for all his/ her patients. Ask for the validity and the reasons behind everything, as some tests can be painful and sometimes dangerous. Be well informed and prepared for all kinds of consequences and results.
